Sourdough, Dry Mixes, and More

Well its June again... and while I'd like to complain about the excessive heat once again, I have some much better news instead! In addition to our first farmers market ever (coming July 12th), this month I'm releasing a few new products that I've been dying to get out. I've had a pet project for some time now to work on dry mixes, and while I'm not quite done brainstorming more products, these three are bound to make a bang. To start off with, sourdough starter! Turns out, a freeze dryer makes dehydrating large volumes of sourdough discard super easy. This sourdough starter has been freeze dried and tested to ensure that it still comes back to life. Unfortunately there's not a lot of information online about freeze drying sourdough starter, so I trialed it myself. So for anyone wondering - yes it is possible and it really does work!

Next up, one of my real favorites of this fleet of new products, the Cinnamon Cranberry Granola. Its the perfect blend of sweet and salty without being chock full of sugar like a lot of granolas are from the store. This recipe is packed with benefits too, like protein, omegas, and antioxidants. This is by far the best granola I have ever had (and a few people who trialed it have also given it an OMG) and I am so excited to share it with you.

And last but not least... This tasty sourdough pancake recipe. Discard recipes are super easy and require very little maintenance to cook, but still pack that tangy sourdough flavor. All you need to make these is a cup of milk, an egg, and a tablespoon of butter.

Speaking of butter, if you've made it this far I'll leave you with a teaser. I'll be selling homemade butter at the farmers market, and locally from here on out. I can't wait for all the good things that are coming this year, and hey, it gives me something to look forward to instead of this Arizona heat. <3
